Description
A postal lungworm test kit for cattle, sheep and goats.
The test uses the Baermann technique to find lungworm larvae in fresh faeces. Lungworm is not found on a standard worm egg count, because larvae, not eggs, pass in the faeces. The Baermann test is not suitable for pig lungworm.
How it works: collect fresh faeces from several animals in the same group using the spoon provided, put them in the sample pot, fill in the label and post the kit back to us the same day. The sample must be fresh. Try to post Monday to Wednesday. Results appear in your account within 24 to 48 hours of the lab receiving your sample. Use one kit for each group of animals.
