Description
A simple, easy-to-use worm egg count kit for backyard poultry, including chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys. One kit can test up to 5 birds in a pool sample.
The test looks for the eggs of roundworm and caecal worm, hairworm (capillary worm), tapeworm and gapeworm, and also reports coccidia (oocysts) as none, low, moderate or high. Tapeworms are intermittent shedders and do not always show on a worm egg test, so regular testing gives a better picture.
How it works: collect fresh droppings from up to 5 birds using the spoon provided, put them in the sample pouch as one pooled sample, fill in the label and post the kit back to us the same day. Try to post Monday to Wednesday so the sample is not waiting in the post box over the weekend. Results appear in your account within 24 to 48 hours of the lab receiving your sample. For a larger flock, order one kit for each group of birds.
